Charity literally preceeds the company. The Rives Family maintains records of philanthropy dating back to 1455 which is 266 years before W. C. Rives and Company was established.
Areas of Focus
The Rives Foundation maintains a Grant Comittee which offers grants and other donations to select organizations by invitation. While our area of focus is broad we generally consider certain causes as recipients.
The Arts
The performing and visual arts have long been enjoyed by members of The Rives Family who have offered annual grants to many different museums and performers.
Healthcare
As medicine continues to advance it is our desire to see many diseases to become a piece of history that is taught about rather than experienced in real time which is why we fund research.
Wildlife
Wildlife conservation is a multi-faceted cause. Not only does it allow animals to enjoy their habitat, but in return people are rewarded by having a functioning eco system.
