Rives & Co. was established in 1721 in The Crown Colony of Virginia which later became the US state of Virginia. Founded initially as a way to consolidate various holdings maintained by the Rives Family within 30 years of its opening it transitioned into the start of the financial powerhouse it is today.
By using its own straightforward acquisition model which results in minimal changes to a newly acquired branch such as keeping the name the same and retaining the existing staff Rives & Co. is able to expand quicker than other firms.
As of 2025 Rives & Co. maintains a portfolio of over 900 wholly owned branches across eight different divisions. Operating entirely in the financial sector with a heavy focus on commercial services Rives & Co. expects to continue its growth for the rest of time.
